A booking service for roofing work on the Mississippi coast
Gulfport Roof and Storm takes the call, works out what the roof actually needs, and sends an independent contractor who gets on it before quoting anything.
What we are
We are a local booking and dispatch service for roofing work, not a crew of our own. You ring or send the form; we establish what has happened, which matters because the difference between a failed vent boot and wind uplift across two slopes decides whether this is a four-hundred-dollar visit or an insurance claim; and we send an independent contractor who can get there and has the right materials. The work itself is carried out by those contractors under the agreement you make with them. The referral marketing disclosure sets out the arrangement plainly.
That structure exists because of how this market works. After a storm, this coast fills with crews from several states away who will be gone within the year, and the good local contractors are small outfits already booked solid. Pooling the calls means somebody competent is matched to the job, and it means the person answering the phone at two in the morning is not also the person on a roof in Waveland.
How we work
Water stops first. If it is coming into the building, a tarp goes on before anyone discusses a claim, a schedule or a price. A roof deck that soaks for a fortnight waiting on an adjuster turns a shingle job into a decking job, and that sequence is the single most expensive mistake homeowners make here.
Nobody quotes from the driveway. Somebody gets on the roof, walks every slope, lifts tabs around any damage and photographs it. The figure comes after that. A price produced from a satellite image or a look from the lawn is a guess, and guesses get revised upward once the crew is committed.
Permits get pulled. Gulfport requires one on every reroof, decking work needs a nailing inspection before it is covered, and the permit card has to be visible from the street. A contractor who proposes skipping that is proposing that you own an unpermitted roof when you come to sell. Ocean Springs applies the same rule. Where a municipality publishes nothing, we ring and ask rather than assume.
Documentation is yours. Every inspection produces photographs, and you get them whether or not anything follows. On a storm claim that file is the difference between an adjuster seeing what was there and taking somebody's word for it.
What we will not do
We do not absorb, rebate, waive or discount insurance deductibles. It is offered constantly across Harrison and Hancock counties after every significant storm, it is fraud, and the homeowner who agrees becomes a participant rather than a beneficiary. We do not inflate a scope to clear a deductible or describe damage that is not there. We do not act as public adjusters or negotiate claims, because that is a licensed activity and not what a roofing contractor is. And we do not quote review counts, star ratings or years in business on this site, because those are the easiest things in this industry to invent.
Where we work and why only there
Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties — Gulfport, Biloxi, Long Beach, Pass Christian, D'Iberville, Ocean Springs, Bay St. Louis, Diamondhead, Waveland and Gautier. That is a deliberate limit. A coast where every town has its own permit office and its own storm history is not a place to work from a map, and a promise of same-day tarping only means something within a sensible drive. The service area page lists it all.
Ring (228) 364-1994 at any hour, or email hello@gulfportroofandstorm.com if it is not urgent.
